DDA Audits

Under The Disability Discrimination Acts (DDA) of 1995 & 2005 disabled people have the right not to be discriminated against. It gives them rights in the areas of:

  • Employment
  • Access to goods, facilities and services
  • Education
  • Buying or renting land or property (including disability-related adaptations)
  • Services provided by public bodies (including provision of equal opportunity)

Making provision for access and disabled persons’ needs are the key considerations for new or existing facilities
Fox Robinson have experience in undertaking Design Appraisals and making Access Statements when considering new designs, or if alterations are being made to existing facilities. We are also able to undertake Access Audits to existing facilities to assess the need to make reasonable adjustments for compliance with the Act.
