Dilapidations
Dilapidations is a term used in association with property condition and defines a legal process concerning the repair, reinstatement and decoration obligations set out in commercial property leases.
A Landlord may state a claim for breach of contract by the Tenant with respect to their lease agreement. The claim will commonly require either remedial works to address the breach, or damages, and will take the form of a Dilapidations Schedule. This schedule may be Interim, Terminal or Final.
Equally, a Tenant and feel that the claim against him is not justified or over zealous. Expert support may be needed in defence.
