Prequalifications
Modern Health and Safety law requires clients to ensure that they are using competent contractors for their projects. They must therefore demonstrate that they have acted with due diligence by examining their potential contractors’ capabilities and performance before employing them. The result is :- the Prequalification Document.
‘Prequals’ come in many varieties, from those multi-sponsored forms with national coverage such as ConstructionLine and CHAS – to client specific ones produced by public sector bodies such as councils – to small or large commercial organisations.
They can ask the same questions in multitude of ways, and demand satisfactory answers before the contractor is able to progress to the all-important ‘Approved List’.
When acting as retained health and safety advisors, Fox~Robinson are able to assist clients with the completion of these probing documents. We can add further weight to any application by including our established name.
