Waste Management Plans

Rubble and a Digger

The Site Waste Management Plans Regulations 2008 came into force in England on 6th April 2008.

This requires all projects with a value of £300,000 or more to have a Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) in place.

If the project is £500,000 or greater then a more in-depth SWMP is required.

The responsibility is placed on the client to ensure that there is a SWMP in place and that it is regularly updated throughout the project. On completion of the project a comparison audit between what was planned and what actually occurred must be undertaken.

At Fox~Robinson our environmental practitioners can help you to devise and complete the Site Waste Management Plans in accordance with legislation, specifically tailored plans to accord with the Hierarchy for Waste Disposal.
